A four-member review committee of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) visited the Baqai Medical University (BMU) to review its PhD programme.
The HEC team included Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nilofar Shaikh, NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muzzaffer Mahmood, Institute of Stainable Halophyte Utilisation University of Karachi Director Prof Dr M Ajmal Khan, and Higher Education Commission Islamabad Managing Director Prof Dr Khawaja Azam Ali.
A detailed briefing was given to the team about the BMU’s PhD programme by the senior faculty of Baqai Medical University involved in PhD programmes, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
The briefing session held at Baqai Foundation Block was attended also by chancellor, vice chancellor and registrar of the BMU.
Later, the HEC team inspected the research facilities of the Baqai Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the Baqai Institute of Haematology and the BMU Central library.
