Plan afoot for foolproof security in Ramadan

To ensure foolproof security arrangements during the holy month of Ramadan, the Islamabad police have come up with an innovative idea of checking the cops posted at places of worship or discharging patrolling duties in various areas – through their own colleagues. Following the directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Bani Amin Khan, special police teams have been formed to check the cops deployed at places of worship and markets. The teams have also been provided with vehicles for patrolling and checking, according to a press release. The teams that include 10 officers of inspector rank will visit various areas to check security duties of police and make these arrangements more effective. Patrolling officers, on the directions of IGP Bani Amin Khan, have also been assigned responsibilities to check the policemen deployed at pickets, especially during Iftar and Sehr timings.
