Educated FATA youth a national asset: Masood

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Barrister Masood Kausar said on Tuesday the promotion of education and health sectors and the creation of employment opportunities for the youth of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) were among top priorities of the KP government.
“The youth of FATA is the focus of our attention because being the custodian of our future, they are the most valuable national asset and we have to provide them with better academic environment and bright future prospects,” he said.
He was speaking at an awards distribution ceremony held at the Governor’s House to honour the position-holders of the SSC and intermediate-level examinations from Khyber Agency.
The parents and teachers of the bright students as well as local political agent Motahar Zeb and FATA education department officials were also present on the occasion. The governor distributed cash prizes among the students who clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. He congratulated the students on their success. He said the extra-curricular activities too were important and he had issued directives to the relevant quarters to hold regular sports competitions in the FATA.
