The Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested seven arms smugglers, including Police Foundation personnel, and recovered a cache of heavy weaponry, including light machine guns, a rocket launcher and live shells. The raid was carried out on the main Super Highway. The arrested men include Naqeebullah Yaar Khan, Agha Kamal Hussain, Muhammad Imran, Asif Khan, Javed, Mujib and Aftab Ali. The recovered weapons include seven Kalashnikovs, 10 hand grenades, 10 repeaters, six TT pistols and 20,000 live rounds.
