Woman stabbed on property issue

Amina Waseem, 28, was stabbed to death while her sister Kausar received injuries by their brothers over property issues in the Green Town Police precincts on Monday.
According to police, the victim’s mother wanted to transfer her house to her daughter named Kausar. Kausar’s brothers identified as Ashraf and Ishfaq were unhappy on the decision.
On the day of the incident, the brothers discussed the issue again and attacked their sisters as the argument heated up. The victims were seriously injured and were rushed to a nearby hospital where Amina succumbed to her injuries while Kausar’s condition was stated out of danger.
BODY: An unidentified 40-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Lower Mall police precincts on Monday. Locals spotted the body lying near Baba Fareed Chowk and informed police. The police suspected that the deceased was a drug addict and died of overdose.
SUICIDE ATTEMPT: Muhammad Zeeshan, 21, attempted to commit suicide in the Naseerabad police precincts on Monday as his family refused to marry him for love.
According to the police, the victim swallowed poisonous pills and was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition where he is still under treatment.
RAMADAN SECURITY: Superintendent of Police (SP) Mujahid Athar Waheed on Monday directed the police officials to strictly follow the Ramadan security plan especially at Sahar and Aftaar. The SP said 1,800 police contingents would perform their duties in different shifts and special elite force squad would also be on patrol. He directed the 15 incharge to react instantly on 15 emergency calls.
AVLS: The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS) on Monday claimed to have arrested four alleged members of a bike-snatching gang and seized 25 motorbikes. According to a handout, the arrested accused identified as ringleader Abdur Rehman, Muhammad Ramazan, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Abbas confessed to committing several criminal activities. The Capital City Police Officer Lahore announced commendatory certificates for the police raiding team.
