Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has appointed Sohail Ahmad as the secretary narcotics control division.
According to the details, Sohail Ahmad’s appointment was made in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling. Prior to his new appointment as secretary narcotics control division, Sohail was working as an officer on special duty.
On Friday, the Supreme Court had cancelled the notification of relegation of Sohail Ahmed from the post of establishment secretary to the post of officer on special duty.
Sohail Ahmad should not have been made a Secretary. He is a very weak person. CJP threatened him and he issued Notification without PM's permission. He could have just told the CJP that he was awaiting for approval of Summary sent to PM. He should have stood up to stand by the rules. At the same time, I must say that CJP should also start behaving as a true Judge and not to degrade the esteemed institution of SC. How long will he continue to run SC on a political agenda?
