The federal government on Saturday appointed former Information Secretary Muhammad Akram Shaheedi as the prime minister’s press secretary with immediate effect. According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division Cabinet Secretariat, Shaheedi will work as the press secretary for Yousaf Raza Gilani.
