Peace and security is only possible if criminals are caught and stern action is taken against them, Malakand District Coordination Officer Syed Abdul Jabar said on Saturday.
Addressing a peace Jirga, he said netting out criminals and terrorists is joint responsibility of people and law enforcing agencies. Jabbar said civil administration and levies force are committed to catch over 1300 outlaws. He also appreciated the Jirga, saying that it has done a tremendous job during the war on terror, adding that he will keep consulting with the Jirga in future.
Earlier, General Secretary Mukaram Khan, President Malak Abdul-Maghni, Chairman Ghani ur rehman, and others discussed problems being faced by the common man. The Jirga asked the DCO to control load-shedding and prices of daily use items in Ramadan.
