Muslims should cooperate with Islamic non-governmental organisations as the international community especially the western and American NGOs are conspiring against the Muslim ‘Ummah’, known religious scholar of the Jamia Uloom Islamia Maulana Imdadullah said on Saturday.
Addressing a public gathering at Timergara where Imdad along with other JUI-F leaders distributed Ramadan food packages among 300 deserving people on behalf of the Jamia Uloom Islamia Banauri Town Karachi, he said his organisation had distributed items worth Rs 70 million among flood victims of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the current year.
“We also arranged collective marriages for 33 couples of Nowshehra, families of whom were severely affected during the floods last year,” he said, adding that 400 such packages were also distributed at Shamshi Khan Talash. He accused the western and American NGOs of engaging in anti-Islamic activities. “We have solid proofs that Muslims are being guided to convert to Christianity in Afghanistan,” he said, adding that those NGOs have hidden agendas.
