The Under-16 rugby team played rugby contests in Multan’s deserts with bare foots and were seen very keen and enthusiastic to do something in this field.
Rugby is becoming more popular in Pakistan as it is now being played here at deserts of Multan as well as in Bahalwalpur, Bahawalnagar and Muzaffargarh and it is popular there after Lahore which is a hub of the game. In Multan, there were not proper grounds for rugby; therefore the children prefer to play rugby at deserts.
Muzammal Wazeeri, representative of Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU), appreciated these young boys and encouraged them; he also distributed shirts among them.
