The career of upcoming cricketer Ahmed Shahzad started to burn in the fight of other senior players after he was dropped from the Pakistan team announced for the Zimbabwe series. The PCB selection committee dropped the 19-year-old batsman Ahmed from the team without any solid reason which gave an impression that the selection was made on favoritism and the axe was fallen on Ahmed due to internal politic of the team. It has been learnt that team manager Intikhab Alam and coach Waqar Younis reports was behind his sacking when there was a case of indiscipline pending against him.
Ahmed began his international career two years ago in an ODI match against Australia and since then he played 19 matches having an average of 26.50 and have scored 477 runs.
It has also been learnt that Ahmed has been the victim of the Afridi-team management saga because if his domestic career is looked, he scored 78 and 74 runs in the two matches of the T20 Cup for Lahore Lions.
