Journey of peace reaches the PML-F stop

The Sindh government’s ‘Amn Ka Safar’ drive continued on Friday with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders visiting the offices of different parties in a bid to restore peace in Karachi.
A delegation of the PPP provincial ministers and party leaders met with Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leaders at office of Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Information Technology and PML-F leader Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh.
Besides Shaikh, other the PML-F leaders Jam Madad Ali, Dr Rafiq Banbhan and Imamuddin Shauqeen were also present on the occasion. The PPP delegation included Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon, Revenue Minister Jam Mahtab Daher and party leaders Rashid Rabbani and Saeed Ghani.
Talking to the media after the meeting, Jam Madad and Shaikh said that the PML-F has fully supported the peace drive, as its leader, Pir Pagara has always given the message of peace to his party activists and the people of Sindh.
They said that their party would fully participate in activities being held in connection with the Aman Ka Safar.
Memon told journalists that they were thankful to the PML-F leaders for extending support to the peace drive.
He said that the Sindh government wants to unite all political parties on issue of peace in Karachi. “The government wants to see the city’s previous identity of being city of lights revived,” he added.
Memon asked all the political parties, media and civil society organisations to participate in the peace drive with a sprit seen on the festival of Eid so that people can unite under the slogan of peace and brotherhood.
