The Fast-Track Coaching Programme camp came to an end with the participants of the two-week long training believed to have gained enough knowledge from the best of the former cricketers in business to earn them limelight at the international level, here on Friday.
The coaches who trained selected players had claimed that they had transferred all among the players during this short span of time, what they had. “They would excel in the time of need and the experience they gained in the camp would be of great use for these players,” said, leg spin great Abdul Qadir and Tauseef Ahmed.
The two former spinners spent majority of the time of the camp at the National cricket Academy trying to improve the standard of their game, working on the basic spinning techniques and had extensive fielding drills. Only a couple of spinners like Usman Qadir, Raza Hasan and Rohail Ali made an impact in the camp.
Tauseef believed that they should have undergone similar such camps but “I believe that it was a great opportunity for these players to learn from us.”
“We have pointed out their mistakes and tried to make improvement in their game which will surely help them,” he added.
“We no doubt have the potential player but it’s not necessary that every player has an international material to go and establish on the first go. I am not discarded the future of any bowler but the thing which need to be understood that there are player who has the ability to pick things promptly but there are certain number of player who are not that good but they have the equal opportunity to thrive on. Therefore the one who comprehend the advices and implement them accordingly has the highest probability towards success,” he concluded.
