Another 12 killed in Karachi violence

Twelve more people were killed and over a dozen injured in various incidents of violence in Karachi on Friday, taking the number of targeted killings in the city to 86 in the past one week.
Noorullah was killed in Sir Syed police precincts while Syed Mahmood and Inayatullah were killed in Shabir Chowk area of New Karachi. The bodies were taken to Civil Hospital Karachi.
Police found another body, identified as Imran Khan, in a gunny sack lying in Khaji Groung area of Pak colony. Another body, in a gunny bag, was found in Klakot police precincts.
Unidentified motorcyclists killed Faheem Raza Baloch alias Moon Baloch in the jurisdiction of Friar Police station while another, Zahid Ikram, was killed in Sarjani police precincts.
In another incident, unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire at a car in front of the Financial Trade Center on Shara-e-Faisal, killing Faheem Riaz Sadique and Muhammad Saleem Bhatti on the spot. The deceased were lawyers of a high court and were PML-N workers.
Another man was killed in Landhi Noor Manzil. His identity could not be ascertained until the filing of this report.
Another unidentified man was killed in old Sabzi Mandi. The body was taken to Jinnah hospital. Meanwhile, police personnel, along with special police commandoes, conducted search operations in some of the areas of the city and arrested more than 47 people and recovered weapons. “The persons found not guilty will be released soon,” a police officer said.
