Police has arrested four men suspected of plotting terrorist activities in the federal capital while fifth one managed to escape.
Police confiscated suicide vests, hand grenades and pistols from their possession.
The suspects were arrested from a house located in Sector G-11’s adjoining area Meera Abadi and Meera Khoh.
The suspects took the house on Rs 5000 monthly rent from a man named Naveed Shehzad few days ago.
Two suicide vests, three pistols and four hand grenades have been confiscated while police has started interrogation.
IG Islamabad said that accused have been taken to undisclosed location for interrogation, adding that it is premature to tell about the targets of suspects.
