Two Hindu women kidnapped from a village in the Perumal police limits were recovered in a joint operation by the Mirpurkhas and Sanghar police. Two suspects allegedly involved in the abduction were also arrested.
Mirpurkhas SHO said the police recovered Shremati Nathuri, 35, daughter of Lachman Rathore and Shremati Basri, 25, daughter of Sarupo Rathore, and arrested two brothers Muhammad Ismail Rind and Liaqat Rind involved in the kidnapping. Sarupo had registered an FIR under Section 365-B against the suspects arrested, stating that his daughter and niece were kidnapped on gunpoint by the alleged accused.
Both the women were shifted to the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas for medical examination and produced before the court of Mirpurkhas civil judge. Talking with Pakistan Today, the women said that the kidnappers had forcibly married them after capturing them. However, the arrested brothers stated that both the women had married them on free will after embracing Islam, and have changed their statement in front of the police.
The court after recording the statements of the women and the kidnappers, ordered the women to be sent to Darul Aman Hyderabad.
