Traffic wardens to be provided Iftar

Traffic wardens will be provided Iftari on their deployment points during Ramadan in order to ensure a smooth flow of traffic. More than 1,300 traffic wardens would be given point-to-point Iftari on around 25 specified points in the city. Each Iftari packet would include one litre Jaam-e-Shereen, Country juice packet, cup cake, peaches and three dates.
Iftari would also be given to those motorists, who would be late in reaching their homes on time. For the common traveller, each Iftari packet would consist of one Shahi Sipari packet, dates and almonds. A special meeting was held at the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) office where Sadar Division Traffic SP Asif Zafar Cheema, City Division SP Mustafa Hameed Kamal, Headquarters SP Maroof Wahla and DSPs discussed the distribution procedure of Iftari among traffic wardens and common citizens.
Addressing the meeting, the CTO directed that none of the officers including SP, DSP and others would leave their duty points before 15 minutes had passed after Maghrib prayers. He advised them to avoid taking holidays during Ramadan.
