At least four robbers looted a bank in the limits of Industrial Area Police Station on Thursday. Reportedly, four unidentified armed dacoits overpowered the security guards of Habib Bank in Sector I-9, Baroni Road, and took the staff hostage at gunpoint. They injured one of the security guards, took away millions of rupees and fled from the scene.
The Industrial Area police registered an FIR and started investigations. The duty officer of the police station said the bank management had not so far informed the police about the exact amount of money taken away by the dacoits.
