At least six militants were killed and seven injured in a clash with Masozai tribe here in Kurram Agency on Thursday. Six tribesmen were also wounded the gunfight.
Official sources confirmed the armed clash, causalities and the number of those wounded. In retaliation, the militants later set ten villages to fire.
Meanwhile, five soldiers were seriously wounded in a landmine explosion on Thursday morning here in Mohmand Agency. Official sources said security forces were patrolling in tehsil Banzai of Manzry Cheena when it struck a landmine. The explosion left five security men injured who were later taken to local district headquarter hospital. The security forces have taken control over Manzry Cheena as the ongoing operation is in its third phase.
