AIOU will set up driving training institute in collaboration with ITP

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), in collaboration with Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), will set up a model training institute to impart training in driving skills to road users and inculcate a better traffic sense among them. Addressing the concluding session of a two-day road safety workshop at the university on Wednesday, AIOU Vice Chancellor Prof Nazir Ahmed Sangi said the proposed institute would train both the staff and citizens. He expressed his pleasure in collaborating with ITP in introducing this institute. Transport Committee Chairperson and Sciences Dean Professor Dr Nishat Khan, Dean Social Sciences Dr Abdul Hafeez, SSP (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood and ITP staff were also present on the occasion. More than 50 AIOU employees also attended the workshop.
