Norway attacks

Scores were killed in Norway attacks at the hands of the attacker who hated Muslims. The West is usually on their heels to call the Muslims terrorists and extremists but now that they have tasted a medicine of their own, they find it bitter to swallow. Wasn’t it the West that created the Taliban for their own interests and later deserted them while intoxicating them with power and weapons? Still, they call them terrorists.

This was all propaganda to degrade and embarrass Muslims all over the world. They report and broadcast news totally biased against the Muslims. This is not a problem of religion but somehow a problem of nationalism. Another important element is media because if you have strong media, you can do anything.

The attacks in Norway can be misinterpreted easily. Europe might be more biased now. Our religion is all about peace. Now is the time to prove that Muslims are not extremists and terrorists except those who use the name of Islam for their personal agendas. We should make efforts to remove that label of terrorism.

The culprit of the Norway attacks has been nabbed and he has confessed that he did so to minimise the influence of Muslims or aliens because these outsiders are, somewhat, snatching the rights of Europeans. If we generally view his belief about the aliens, that is not wrong. But aside this situation, the perception of Muslims around the globe is not so good.

The status of Muslims is already very critical in the international arena. The base could be linked from 9/11 terrorist attacks. I want to highlight that the Muslims are not terrorists. All the issues in the world are not religion based. Norway incident is not related to religion. It is actually the problem of accommodation and their nationalism.

Another important aspect is the hegemony of America and its grievances for Muslims. If an individual makes an attack and he belongs to religion Islam, he is considered a terrorist but if he belongs to any other religion, they give him other attributes. The current situation is literally like the situation of Nazi Germany, who considered themselves the only humans and the rest of the world was not allowed to live. Islam is a peaceful religion. We need to be united and stand together to explain to others what our religion really stands for.
