Commissionerate system to remain in place, says Qaim

As the commissionerate system has been restored in the province through the Sindh Assembly’s legislation, it would remain in place, but the reservations of allies can be removed administratively, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah said on Tuesday
Talking to journalists after at a conference, he said that no new province would be created in Sindh.
“The government is taking political measures along with administrative to maintain peace in Karachi. The law enforcement agencies have arrested several criminals involved in targeted killings and now it is the courts’ job to punish them,” he added.
Earlier, the chief minister presided over a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House to review the budgetary issues of the new commissionerate system.
The meeting was attended among others by Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Additional Chief Secretary (P&D) Muhammad Ishaque Lashari, Accountant General Azam Khan, Finance Secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch, Local Government Secretary Ali Ahmed Lund and Secretary to the Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo.
According to an official handout, the participants of the meeting discussed in detail the financial and budgetary issues keeping in view the new system.
The participants were informed that the funds for three-month salaries have already been released to all departments so that the employees of the previous district governments do not face any problem.
The commissioners and deputy commissioners have been made drawing and disbursing officers of their respective jurisdictions so as to resolve the financial issues pertaining to salaries and recurring expenditures.
The devolved departments have been made regular sections of their respective provincial departments. The chief minister directed that all changes be made within three months. 
He directed the chief secretary to convene a meeting today (Wednesday) to discuss all issues including budgetary allocation for development schemes, monitoring and evaluation system; and submit a report.
