Obsolete law

The revival of the Police Act 1861 against the Police Order 2002 in Karachi is a step which has been termed as restoring the draconian and obsolete procedures.

It is proven that through this particular implementation there is no positive outcome in the security situation of the city.

Instead, situation has worsened over recent days and the step has not paid off. As a concerned citizen, it is an appeal to the authorities that they should reconsider the decision, as the deteriorating status of police in Karachi is the main reason behind the law and order situation. Restoring old and obsolete laws will not bring back the good old days.
