Nawaz Sharif’s bid to topple the elected government through a grand alliance has fizzled out and he will have to face defeat in the next general elections, Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed said on Monday.
Talking to the PPP legislators at his chamber in the Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz said the PML-N chief has failed miserably in wooing political leaders as everyone is aware that Nawaz is an opportunist. He said President Asif Ali Zardari has again upheld supremacy over his antagonists by taking coalition partners along with him.
