An eight-member German media delegation, which is on a weeklong visit to Pakistan, visited the National Art Gallery of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Tuesday. Shams-ul-Haq headed the delegation consisting of Christian Zarm, president of German Association, Manuela Pecoraro, ZDF correspondent, Karl-Heiz Roghofer, Ursula Becker, Janek Schmidt, correspondent Suddeutsche Newspaper, Rainer Ortag, Sascha Weber, cameraman ARD, ZDF. The delegation was shown a documentary reflecting the Sufi ideology with a narration of mystic sayings followed by Sufi dances presented by the National Performing Arts Group of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts. PNCA Director General Tauqeer Nasir briefed the delegation about Pakistan’s cultural heritage and social values. The delegation members paid a standing ovation to the dance performances and praised the artwork including landscape, miniature, sculpture & calligraphy displayed at NAG.
