Students of Beaconhouse National University (BNU) would stage the BNU Annual Play “Behroopia-The Musical” for three consecutive days, starting July 25 at Alhamra Hall 2 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The entry to the performance is free-of-charge and is through invites only.
Behroopia-The Musical animatedly leads one through an engaging plot filled with boisterous characters. A satire touching upon some serious aspects of the society, Behroopia mirrors the Police Department, balancing it with light-hearted humour and unpredictable bursts of choreographed sequences. The story revolves around the character of a ‘Bhaand’ – a man with the ability to disguise and impersonate himself into various identities: his aptitude to adopt divergent roles (suited by the situation) keeps the audience entertained. The story is full of drama and happening, also passing out subtle clues to the intelligent on-lookers. The play is produced by Noman Khan and Ahmed Khan, directed by Hira Farrukh with the assistance of Zara Noor Abbas, Shahbano Shahbaz and Fahad Nur, and staged with the help of many other BNU students gathered on the platform of NIMS. The team promises to keep the audience clutched to their seats, prepared for a roller-coaster ride filled with glamour, wit, romance, adventure and much more.
