Violence without end

The violence in Karachi seems to be without any end to it. The death toll mounting each day makes evident the sorry situation of law and order in the city. Karachi, once known as the city of lights, has been plunged into chaos and carnage.

The law enforcement apparatus, both police and rangers, seems to be incapacitated by the onslaught of the criminal elements. Years of political interference, nepotism and corruption have brewed a police force unable to tackle the law and order situation of the city. It is imperative that the administration should put all its efforts in improving the calibre of the police so that the security situation can be restored in Karachi.
