The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Azad Kashmir won six out of the eight reserved seats in the elections of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly on Sunday, raising its strength to 29 seats in a House of 49. Elections for the reserved seats were held here in the assembly building on Sunday, APP reported.
The PPP won six seats (three women and one each of Ulema Mashaikh, Technocrat and Overseas Kashmiris) while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Muslim Conference won one women’s seat each. Those who were elected on five reserved seats for women were PPP’s Shazia Akbar, Sadaf Shaikh and Shaheen Dar, PML-N’s Fauzia Ashraf and the Muslim Conference’s Meher-un-Nisa, who was elected with the help of two PPP votes.
Sardar Abid Hussain Abid, Pir Attiq-u-Rehman and Raja Wajid of the PPP were elected on the seats of Technocrat, Ulema Mashaikh and Overseas Kashmiris respectively with the majority vote of 25. All the newly-elected members of the Legislative Assembly on general and reserved seats will take oath on Monday when the assembly meets at 10am.
Soon after the oath-taking, the speaker and deputy speaker will be elected. The election for prime minister will be held on Tuesday. Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani congratulated the PPP candidates on winning the reserved seats, NNI reported. In his message, the prime minister said the victory of PPP candidates was a manifestation of the confidence of the people in their policies.

Thanks to stupid –‘guggoughora’ polices of Nawaz Sharif.The arrogant Sharif brothers cannot see beyond 'sasti roti,peeli taxi ' already failed schemes because these are funded from poor man tax money and a penny from their purses. Did any personal-family business project of 'Sharifs' ever flopped ?Perhaps never-because the money belonged to them though again borrowed from common money in banks. That is their interests of poor man money. If ‘sasti roti’was sold for RS3/ which was acceptable and could not had led to billion of rupees lost from public exchequer which could had repaired instead ten thousand miles roads, and similarly one lak schools could had been repaitred,provided furniture, books than building ego centric mega project like Danish Schools-Sasti Roti’,though good project .while the myopic, arrogant brother never realized that Zardari-PPP whom MLN gave the schemes of 'Benzir Income support scheme,Waseela huk etc 'of two trillion rupees from poor man tax money created from day one some two crore vote bank by doling RS1000/ to its beneficiaries who believe the money is given by Zardari,Bilawal,Bakhtawar,Asifa from personal purses. This impression is vindicated by million of dollars advertising done by PPP-Z government from public exchequer. The tragedy is that iron necked, ironed soul ,Sharifs do not have the vision to see things in right perspective .Even Imran Khan (excepting one anonymous voice from limbo)does not see though this heinous abuse of public money which is winning PPP-Z bye elections throughout the country and Azad Kashmir. I would request either Nawaz Sharif stops using Muslim League as his political party name because it is just his personal league and instead be called Nawaz Political Party. Not one of his party men deserve to be called a Muslim Leagui as well one of concerning the Mir Jaffers,Mir Sadiks of Muslim League-Q which could be called Choudries Political Party and one another (ML-F)Pagara Political
