Traffic jams are very common in Karachi nowadays because of different situations which include protests, law and order problem, parking problems etc. On Tariq Road, the traffic jam is common everyday as there is no parking. The road has three lanes but almost one and half lane is used for parking which is also charged now.
It will be better if the government takes notice of this issue and builds two parking plazas at Tariq Road. One parking plaza should be built at the one end of Tariq Road near Tariq Chowrangi and the other parking plaza at the other end which is near Qabaristan.
After the construction of these parking plazas, the Tariq Road should be declared as a no parking area. This project will be expensive but if the concerned authorities are serious for this project, they should start constructing these plazas immediately.
