Pakistan’s chief selector Mohsin Khan finds himself in the middle of controversy over the late inclusion of some players for a fast track coaching camp that is being organised at the National Cricket Academy. The sudden inclusion of some players who have no notable performances in domestic cricket in the camp has put the pressure on the former Test opener. Mohsin said he was not involved in the late inclusion of some players in the camp.
But that has only led to former test players questioning that if the chief selector is not even authorised to decide who will attend the camp than what is the purpose of having the paid national selection committee in the first place. “If the chief selector is not aware who is being included in the camp than what is the job of the selectors after all,” Basit Ali said.
