Medicine short for thyroid patients

Patients are facing difficulties owing to the shortage of medicines for thyroid patients in all the three allied government hospitals of Rawalpindi. Sources said that more than one thousand thyroid patients within a month for check up in these hospitals, this disease is present in the 15 percent of the whole population in the country. The medicines for curing and treating thyroid have been short in the market since past one year, but the government has not paid any heed to this issue. Whereas the medicines for this disease have also been short due to the poor planning of the management of allied hospitals of Rawalpindi. Patients have to buy these medicines form the market on high rates but the management has not taken any steps for decreasing this shortage.
