The Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi Women Wing has appealed to the government to arrest the people, who killed their party activists and attacked their homes. “The government should ensure that the thousands of Haqiqi activists, who shifted to other areas during the past nine years and living in poor conditions, return to their homes, said Haqiqi Women Wing organiser Rida Fatima. She was speaking at a press conference at the press club along with other female activists of the party. She demanded that the government should immediately remove “check posts” constructed by the “terrorists” in the city. “Some days ago, our party activists went to Malir without party permission to meet their relatives, but the terrorists of the so-called representative party of the city shot them. Some activists died on the spot and numerous were critically wounded,” she said. She said the terrorists attacked the home of MQM-H Karachi Division President Maqbool Hussain, tortured his family, and set the house ablaze. “The terrorists also torched the houses of two MQM-H activists and killed the younger brother of another party activist. His family was not allowed to attend the funeral as well,” she said. Fatima said that the police are not registering their FIRs against those involved in terrorist activities against their party. She demanded that president, the prime minister and the interior minister should provide protection to the people of Karachi.
