The heavy monsoon rain that lashed the twin cities late on Sunday night and continued on Monday in intervals killed as many as five people including four children when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed in Sihala. According to police officials, the roof of a house belonging to Altaf collapsed in Mangayal in Sihala police precincts due to downpour. The police said that the dead have been identified as Malka Bibi, 40, wife of Mubarak, Saliha, 11, daughter of Habib, Faizan, 7, son of Altaf, and two other children. Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Tajamul Hussain Shah said that those who were killed belonged from Azad Kashmir and they had come to Rawat to attend a marriage ceremony. He said some of them were sleeping on the roof when the roof collapsed. He said that the head of the family took the bodies of the deceased to his native village without informing the police.
