The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has pulled out of the twin series, proposed against India in India due to the non issuance of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Islamabad. The PCB planned to hold the women’s cricket series and the under-19 cricket series recently.
A source told Pakistan Today that there was a great pressure on the government functionaries to resume sporting ties while resumption of cricket was the top priority. Pakistan proposed to hold the women’s cricket series before going for the full series between the national teams of the countries but now the PCB backed down when it saw that the NOC had yet not been received.
The government permission has always been a must when it comes to holding the cricket or other sporting series between the two countries and participation in several sporting events.
