TMA to crack down on dairy farms

Tehsil Municipal Administration would launch a grand operation on Saturday morning to shift buffaloes from the Rawal Town limits. The TMA had given the cattle owners a seven-day deadline to shift their animals out of the city limits which expired on Friday.
Town Municipal Officer in a press statement said a grand operation was being launched on the directives of the Commissioner Rawalpindi. He said cases would be registered against the owners who have not shifted their cattle out of the city limits during the grace period. The officials of enforcement, anti-encroachment and union councils have been deputed their tasks and temporary enclosures have been constructed to keep the confiscated animals. The operation would be completed without any discrimination and interference, sources said. TMA has asked the citizens to inform it about any buffalo farms that exist after the operation. There are more than two dozen buffalo farms across the city including Pirwadhai, Dhoke Elahi Bux, Dhok Hassu, Bagh Sardaran, Dhok Khaba, Ariya Mohallah and Hazara Colony.
