The heirs of Mubashir, who was lynched in Sialkot at the behest of a local politician, staged a demonstration on the Constitution Avenue on Friday. They demanded of the government to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide them security.
Syeda Bibi, the mother Mubashir, who along with her family had come to the capital in search of justice, told the media that the armed men tortured her son to death at the behest of Chaudhry Raza Subhani. She said the accused were threatening her with dire consequences and pressuring her to withdraw the FIR registered against the murder. She appealed to Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take a suo moto notice of the case.
