Imran asks army to support Supreme Court

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has urged the army to support judiciary in implementing the Supreme Court’s verdicts.
He warned that any attempt to rig the elections would result in a bloody revolution. Addressing a press conference on Friday, he was of the view that if the army desired to play a role in the interests of the country and nation, it should ensure implementation of the court orders. “Both the PPP and the PML-N have decided to take turns to rule the country, but the PTI would shatter this partnership with the support of the people,” he added.
According to Imran, the PPP and the PML-N have failed to resolve the problems of masses. Only an honest leadership could take the country out of the prevailing crises. He said the PTI would start a movement against the rulers from Faisalabad with a public meeting today (Saturday). “The event will prove a referendum against the rulers and lead to general elections. Only free and fair elections could bring a change in the country.” The PTI would hold a rally in Lahore after Eidul Fitr, he added.
Earlier, Imran concluded the membership campaign in 25 businesses centres markets of Lahore, which was participated by the PTI leaders and organisers of the respective areas. President Insaf Trade Wing Lahore Mian Mustafa Rashid, Senior Vice President Shabbir Sial, General Secretary Malik Zaman Naseeb and others were present on the occasion.
