Traffic warden abducted freed later

Misri Shah Police arrested a scrap dealer, accused of kidnapping an on-duty traffic warden from Cop Store Chowk on Thursday. A case was also registered against two unidentified men on a complaint lodged by the traffic warden after recovering him from godowns of the aforesaid scrap dealer.
Traffic warden Nawaz claimed that he was on routine duty and standing at Cop Store Chowk in Misri Shah Police area when he signalled a car to stop, as the car driver was using a mobile phone. The warden claimed the car driver, who introduced himself as Shahzad Ahmed Goshi, with the help of his two accomplices started to beat him and later bundled him into the car when he tried to issue a fine ticket.
He claimed Shahzad Ahmed took him to his godown located in Misri Shah Area where he was detained. Nawaz said he later called 15 Police for help and informed them about the incident over which Misri Shah Police reached the scene and recovered Nawaz from the godown. Misir Shah Police registered a case against Shahzad and his two accomplices.
Talking to journalists, Shahzad claimed that he had not tried to kidnap the warden adding that Nawaz had asked a packet over which Shahzad informed that he was a scrap dealer and had cash in the packet. He claimed he offered the warden to sit with them. Nawaz accompanied them to his godown where he showed him cash in the packet. Meanwhile, he informed 15 police and claimed that he had been kidnapped.
