Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan desires meaningful talks with India and wants to discuss all core issues, so as to help the two countries move forward.
In an interview here with the British wire service during his stay, Gilani said the two foreign ministers would be meeting in New Delhi on July 27 in a bid to put in more life to the dialogue process. “We really want to make it meaningful and we really want that there should be good results,” he said when asked about his expectations from the meeting.
“We want excellent relations with our neighbour,” he said and added the two sides had decided “to discuss all irritants and all core issues so that we should move forward.” Pakistan and Afghanistan also needed to redouble efforts to end fighting along their border to prevent this situation.
