Because of unscheduled load shedding and the tussle between the KESC management and the labour union, very bad traffic are being seen in Karachi and the public has been disturbed a lot.

The public suffered a lot when public transport was stopped forcibly by protesters and people had to walk 3 to 4 km; children and women too faced much difficulty in coping with this situation. Residents of Malir blocked the road from Malir 15 to Quaidabad due to constant inavailability of electricity! The situation is worsening day by day! The public set the tires on fire and chanted slogans against KESC. The agitated public has no way to vent its frustration except by protesting. The government should take some short-term measures to address as much of the problem as it can as if the pot of public rage boils over, it’s the government that will be burnt.
