India test fired on Thursday a new short range ballistic missile from a defence base in Orissa, official sources said. The “Prahaar” missile, which can hit a target 150 kilometres away, was tested from the Integrated Test Range in Chandipur in the district of Balasore, about 230km from Bhubaneswar.
The Prahaar system can tackle multiple targets and allows a mix of various kinds of missiles to be used from a single launcher.
