Two convicted of attacking police party

Additional sessions judge Peshawar Wednesday convicted two accused in case of attacking a police party and sentenced them to two years in prison. The convicted persons, Pazer and Iftikhar, were facing the charges of targeting a police party. The Agha Mir Jani Shah police in September 2009 arrested them after they robbed citizens in the night. The FIR said when the accused saw police, they started firing and also lobbed a hand grenade but policemen escaped unhurt, however, after a brief exchange of fire both the accused were arrested.
Narcotics Case: The judge of an Anti-Narcotics Special Court summoned witnesses for recording their statements in 36 kilogrammes charas smuggling case.The Anti-Narcotics Force in April 2011 stopped a car near Kohat Tunnel and recovered the contraband and arrested the driver Mohammad. The case was registered and complete record was submitted with the court for trial, wherein the accused refused to accept the charges after which the judge summoned the witnesses.
