The Met office on Wednesday predicted the fourth spell of monsoon rains starting Friday night which may produce scattered rains with thundershowers in different parts of the country for three to four days.
According to the Met office, weather is expected to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country on Thursday and Friday, however isolated rain with thunder shower may occur in Kashmir and Northeast Punjab during the period.
More monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in upper parts of the country and lower Sindh from Saturday. Scattered rain and thundershowers, with isolated heavy falls are expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Saturday to Monday.
Rain and dust-thundershower with isolated heavy falls is also expected at various places in Sindh on Sunday or Monday.
The weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country on Wednesday whereas intense sunshine was witnessed in the provincial metropolis. The Met office predicted partly cloudy weather with chances of rain in Lahore on Thursday. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 41 degrees Celsius, today (Thursday).
Relative humidity recorded in Lahore on Wednesday morning was 75 percent and in the evening it was 49 percent.
