CNG stations closed for 2.5 days in Potohar region

CNG stations have been closed for two and half days in Potohar region including twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), at least 560 CNG stations from Attock to Jhelum have been closed at 12am last night which will remain closed till 3pm on Saturday.
The closure of CNG stations posed serious troubles for the people in Islamabad. Distressed by multiple crises, citizens pleaded the government should have mercy on the public.
Meantime, gas supply to over 350 CNG stations in Faisalabad has been cut off at 6am this morning causing less than normal traffic on roads.
Citizens complained owners of public vehicles have willfully revved up their fares.
Also, citizens are facing troubles thanks to gas supply suspension in Jhang as well. CNG rickshaw drivers said weekly gas closure had dampened their business forcing them to starve.
Citizens demanded the government to take up concrete steps towards the solution of the issue.
