The provincial government has taken concrete steps to restore law and order in Karachi and other parts of the province, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said on Wednesday.
“There is no shortcut but we are taking measures in collaboration with police and Rangers to protect the lives and properties in the province,” he said while talking to the media at the Jinnah International Airport on his arrival from Sukkur.
Responding to a query on the situation in Lyari, the minister said that the situation has been brought under control and more improvements would be seen in the area.
Regarding security for the operational units of the Karachi Electric Supply Company, he said that police and Rangers have held several meetings and the required protection would be provided to the operational units.
