The drone attacks in northern areas of Pakistan have proved counter-productive. No doubt some areas of Pakistan remain a safe haven for Taliban and Al-Qaeda militants operating in Afghanistan, but in reality they kill many innocent inhabitants of those areas.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani also have condemned such attacks which have encouraged domestic unrest. Al-Qaeda is a threat to everyone, and the Pakistani government should take serious steps to stop these attacks.
I strongly feel that the resolution passed by our parliament in this regard should be implemented. The continued drone attacks are a serious threat to the sovereignty of Pakistan.
