Shocks for PML(N)

The PML(N) whose leaders, Sharif Brothers, consider themselves principled and politically correct, have suffered three setbacks in the last few days. First was when one of the party MNAs, Anjum Akeel broke the police station by the help of his goons and fled. He was arrested in a fraud case and was brought to a police station in Islamabad. Party chief, Nawaz Sharif, asked Akeel to present himself to the police while the police was instructed to treat him with respect due to him being an MNA even if arrested in a fraud case. Akeel, looking as innocent as a babe does, now rests and recoups in the PIMS at taxpayers’ expense.

Second was that of pampered minister, Dost Khosa, who is also former chief minister for brief period and scion of senior adviser Zulfiqar Khosa, who not only had his third wife, Sapna Khosa, thrashed but also had her disappeared by his ruffians. Sapna, along with her daughter, had gone to Dost Khosa’s official residence in the GOR when she faced the ordeal. We expect young Dost to beat Mustafa Khar in marrying and merrymaking.

The last is that of chief minister Shahbaz Sharif’s secretary, Imran, brother-in-law of party ideologue Ahsan Iqbal, who was caught red-handed arranging a ‘dance and drink’ party at his defence residence. Partying was not objectionable but creating ruckus and disturbing peace of nearby residents was. Happily, all party men are doing well. But why drag Ahsan Iqbal, a noble fellow, in it?
