Around 200 protesters held a massive demonstration on Amir Road in Shadbagh against long and unscheduled load shedding and torched a Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Complaint Office on Monday.
The police turned a blind eye to the incident and failed to arrest any protesters involved in burning down public property. The infuriated protesters set fire to the office when they found no officials present there. The protest lasted more than two hours, after which firemen put out the burning building as police looked on.
