Massive rainfall occurred in different areas of Lahore on Monday making the weather pleasant. Although the day started with sunshine, clouds suddenly covered the sky causing heavy downpour. Various areas of the city including Model Town, Garden Town, Peco Road and Wahdat Road were inundated, making commutation difficult for the citizens.
Grounds and roads of Punjab University new campus were also flooded with water. 28 millimeters of rain was recorded in the city with the maximum temperature on Monday being 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum being 27 degrees Celsius. Relative humidity recorded on Monday morning was 78 percent whereas it was 59 percent in the evening.
The Met office said dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, isolated rain with thunderstorm is likely to occur in lower Sindh, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Tuesday. The office also predicted scattered thunderstorm and rain over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Northern and Northeast Punjab and South Eastern Sindh on Tuesday.
