The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday sought comments from the Saddar superintendent of police (SP) in a case filed by Kamran Yousufzai, seeking recovery and release of his brother Imran Yousafzai, the deputy spokesman of Hizbut Tahrir, from the custody of law enforcement agencies. On Saturday, a single bench of IHC comprising Justice Muhammad Anwar Kasi resumed hearing of the case and directed Saddar SP and Standing Counsel for submitting their comments on the petition. In the petition, Kamran contended that his brother Imran was kidnapped by ‘agencies’ on June 11 in the limits of Margalla Police Station. He filed the petition under article 199 of the constitution through advocate Umare Hayat Sindh making the Federation, Ministry of Defence, DG ISI, DG MI and SP concerned as respondents. The case hearing will resume on Wednesday.
